Four Million government contractors are not part of the conversation!

Thisi is one of the few times, I will discuss politics. The federal government shutdown is now in its 28th day!

Four Million government contractors are not part of the conversation! While all the media attention and politicians ignore us. It’s like we’re not affected! The dilemma for us government contractors. We don’t get paid period, only for holidays that are written into our contract. We work and support all U.S. government agencies! Not one word is spoken by those who say they are concerned.

The blame game is with both the Executive branch and Legislative branch who don’t care about us! In my personal opinion, I’ve become a second class citizen again! As we’re being used as “chips’ in their poker game.

They should be aware they are now liable for all government contractors and the 800,000 Federal Full Time Employees who will remember them for their inaction. That give’s us 4.8 million reasons not to vote or campaign for them. Along with other’s who are now affected as well. Don’t forget what they didn’t do for us…as we ask for food stamps, stress about mortgage payments and the utility bills as our credit is damaged.

These politicians are now contributing toward financial ratings that are being lowered. It’s time for Washington D. C., to find a comprise! As we all suffer as a nation!

About pleiku1970

My service at Pleiku, 1970 is significient because of the Cambodian Incursion. Close proximity to exit routes from the Ho Chi Minh Trail and the "Tri-Border area of Laos,Cambodia and Vietnam. This Air Force assignment was different than most, because of the isolation.
