This day is significant, it’s 100th Anniversary of Armistice Day throughout Europe! Millions served at during World War I. As they did in World War II. Along with every other war since then. I think its unfortunate we have to resort to armed conflict. When it is evil and genocide is a result, yes it has to be stopped! By whatever means. It’s a sad commentary on the human race. Because who wants to send there sons, daughters, husbands, and friends. Yes there is the sacrifice, and the PTSD they will carry throughout their days.
This the sobering reality of the cost of war, no one likes it. Yet there are those who will boast about it and never served. Who find the need to have firearms to protect themselves from “them.” Whoever “them” are!
I know lots of veterans who served throughout, since World War II who had no need to arm themselves. Those of us who had to shoot and kill. Have no part of owning a firearm, because we know once an individual has to pull the trigger. They will no longer be the same person, that is part of the cost of war. Along with the nightmares and horror, we experienced.
So today, let us remind those who served and returned and those who did not. Our Love for them.
On a more sobering note if you will. Stop by the film website and parse the Blog pages. Maybe you’ll find someone you didn’t know. I ask that you read their story. Weekend to Remember, 25th Anniversary.
