OUR VETERANS HERE IN PHILA NEED HELP

A fellow veteran who has worked tiredlessly for the past 20 years, as founder of Pointman Ministries has been working to have the County and City of Philadelphia include more assistance for our service members from Iraq, and Afghanstian wars.

I meet Jim Abrams at “The Wall” while filming the Colin Powell speech at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Veterans Day, 2007. Jim served with the 1st/12th Air Cavalry, 1966-67; his Battalion went back in to the Ia Drang Valley, LZ – X Ray in 1966 with and meet the same resistant from the NVA.

Jim needs the help of all veterans to sign his petition. We owe it to our fellow veterans and as Americans to ensure no veteran is left without the medical or mental healthcare they need.

Subject: Include a Director of Veterans Affairs Office in 2014 City Budget

Hi,

I signed a petition to Mayor Michael A. Nutter and Council President Darrell Clarke which says:

“This petition is to demand Mayor Michael A. Nutter and Council President, Darrell L Clarke to establish a Director of Veterans Affairs Office in the County/City of Philadelphia, with the responsibility to increase rates of recovery paid by the VA to Pennsylvania veterans, expand training opportunities for designated Veteran Service Officers, and increase either the number or percentage of Philadelphia veterans and spouses receiving their earned benefits and preferences. ”

Will you sign this petition? Click here:

About pleiku1970

My service at Pleiku, 1970 is significient because of the Cambodian Incursion. Close proximity to exit routes from the Ho Chi Minh Trail and the "Tri-Border area of Laos,Cambodia and Vietnam. This Air Force assignment was different than most, because of the isolation.
