May 15th, 2013 – Website is here to stay after a challenging first year !

A year ago http://www.weekendtorememberfilm.com wordpress site was launched with the sole purpose of becoming a contributor about Vietnam Veterans Memorial and the history of our fellow veterans. I am here to help foster the care and support for those who are afflicted by PTSD. My intent is not to talk about politics, only to let organizations and individuals who need to find the services that help our veterans.

Since the film was released onto internet sales; I find there are those who criticize it as being out of date, or not in High Definition. For the record there were only handful of contributors who donated money to help finish the film. Aside from delays at Discmakers, or vendors who would provide t-shirts. I’m still here…

The film is here as part of our history for all Vietnam veterans; both men and women ! We all contributed ourselves in so many ways to support the mission of our fellow service members. Weekend to Remember Film is here to stay with the sole intent of making other films about our veterans with emphasis on our women who serve.

In the next day or so… I will be posting a poem written by Carol Zavada about Nine veterans. I think you’ll find this interesting and timely as we get closer to Memorial Day.

About pleiku1970

My service at Pleiku, 1970 is significient because of the Cambodian Incursion. Close proximity to exit routes from the Ho Chi Minh Trail and the "Tri-Border area of Laos,Cambodia and Vietnam. This Air Force assignment was different than most, because of the isolation.
